Ed Sutherby has been a professional drummer in Atlantic Canada for the past fourteen years. His base of operations is St. John’s where he contributes to the vibrant local music scene; but he also enjoys travelling and has toured the Atlantic provinces with various acts. His performance roster is extensive, including rock, folk and blues groups: Damhnait Doyle, Kim Stockwood, The Gravel Pit Campers, Morgan Davis, The Panting Brothers (formerly of Rawlins Cross), Scott Goudie, Peter Narvaez, Denis Parker, Colleen Power, Photon Band, Jill Porter, Jeff Winsor and others. Ed’s highly musical approach and genial personality have made him one of the most sought-after drummers in Atlantic Canada. Despite his hectic schedule, he continues to receive offers to join bands. Being in demand allows him to be selective and pursue the projects that appeal to him most. In addition to his busy performance schedule, he works full-time for Musicstop in St. John’s.
